Sublimation is a digital dye transfer process that uses heat and pressure to convert solid dye into a gas, which then bonds permanently with the polymer fibres of polyester fabrics.
Because the dye fuses at a molecular level, it becomes part of the fabric itself, allowing for high-resolution, full-colour designs with excellent visual clarity. This makes sublimation printing ideal for detailed artwork and high-performance applications where precision and durability are essential.

All of our printing is done in-house using water-based inks, with no chemical runoff and no excess ink waste. Because we print to order, we only produce what’s needed — eliminating overproduction and unnecessary fabric waste.
We recycle all of our production and office paper, and use recycled plastic to package our fabrics.
Our team is continually researching and introducing new recycled fabric options to help reduce the environmental impact of polyester.
We never use harsh chemicals (or any substances harmful to the environment) at any stage of our process. Every decision is made with care, intention, and the planet in mind.
Our in-house team handles everything from file preparation to final inspection, ensuring colour accuracy, print consistency, and fast turnaround on every order. Whether you’re printing one metre or a full fit-out, we treat every job with the same precision and care.
We sure do! If you need something colour matched, you can quote Pantone colours or you can send in a physical swatch or item that you want us to match to.
In order for us to colour match, the files supplied must be in vector format.
You can learn more about our colour matching services here.
Sublimation bonds best to polyester (ideally 65–100%) and other polymer-coated materials. Natural fibres like cotton or linen won’t sublimate properly. For natural fabrics, check out our Natural Fabric printing options.
Dye sublimation printing is a wonderful option for those who want to create high-quality, long-lasting prints. The process uses heat, pressure and time to transfer images from specially printed papers onto fabric or suitable textiles.
This results in prints that are long lasting and have a deep, rich colour. In addition, the prints are durable and can withstand repeated washings.
Best of all, dye sublimation printing is relatively simple and straightforward, making it a great choice for those who are new to printing. So if you’re looking for a printing process that produces beautiful, lasting results, be sure to give dye sublimation a try.
Because the dye becomes part of the fibre, the print won’t crack or peel and resists fading with normal use.
For best results on how to take care of your fabric, see the "Care Instructions" tab on your chosen fabric page. Otherwise, a pretty safe bet is to cold gentle wash, line dry, avoid bleach, and use a cool iron on the reverse if needed.
We print everything to order. Production typically takes 7–10 working days, and 1-2 working days for samples.
If you require colour matching, this can extend lead times until the approval process is complete.
Our minimums are 1m for most fabrics, however a select few have 10m minimums. The minimums are listed on each individual fabric page for reference.
Sublimation dyes are transparent and there’s no white ink channel, so prints rely on a white/light polyester base to look vibrant.
On mid-dark/dark fabrics the colours appear muted or can disappear, and any “white” in your artwork is simply the fabric colour showing through.
Where you require white printed onto a dark fabric, we’ll steer you to better-suited methods such as our DTF transfers.
