Care Instructions

‍Eco-Guard Linen has a specialised protective finish, so gentle spot cleaning is the best way to maintain its performance.

‍For spills and stains
‍Blot spills immediately with a paper towel to absorb excess liquid.
Dab gently rather than rubbing or applying heavy friction.
For general spot cleaning, use plain water or a pH-neutral liquid soap with a soft microfibre cloth.
For more stubborn stains, apply a mild detergent, such as Radiant, using light vertical strokes with a soft brush.
Once cleaned, wipe the area thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any remaining soap residue.

‍Important care notes
‍Do not machine wash or dry clean Eco-Guard Linen.
Washing and dry-cleaning solvents can permanently strip the Eco-Guard coating and damage the pre-coated surface binders.
Avoid bleach, pine oil and tetrachloride.

‍For the best results, we recommend professional gentle dry cleaning.
Natural fabrics can also be carefully hand or machine washed, however some natural shrinkage should be expected.

Dry cleaning
Use a commercial gentle dry-cleaning process with a short cycle, low heat and low mechanical action.
This helps minimise fibre swelling and maintain the original dimensions of drapery and upholstery.
If ironing is required, use a warm iron on the reverse side with a pressing cloth.

Machine washing
Hand wash or gentle machine wash.
Hand wash or use a cold, gentle machine cycle at a maximum of 30°C with a pH-neutral liquid detergent.
Place the fabric inside a wash bag for additional protection.
Line dry in the shade.
Gently squeeze out excess water rather than wringing the fabric, and do not tumble dry.
Natural fabrics may experience approximately 5–8% relaxation shrinkage during the first washes when immersed in water.

Avoid harsh powder detergents and bleach.
Always iron on the reverse side to help protect the surface finish.

After cleaning, wipe thoroughly with clean water to remove any detergent residue.
Soap buildup can reduce the fabric’s repellency performance.
If ironing is necessary, use a low heat or synthetic setting on the reverse side only.

‍Polyester woven fabrics are easy to care for and can be gently machine washed or professionally dry cleaned.

Machine washing
Wash on a gentle cycle in warm water at a maximum of 40°C using a mild liquid detergent.
Before laundering, remove any hooks, rings or metal trims.
The fabric can be line dried or tumble dried on a low heat setting.
Shrinkage is minimal at less than approximately 1–2%.

Dry cleaning
Polyester woven fabrics can also be dry cleaned using standard commercial processes.

Important care notes
Avoid fabric softeners, as they can coat the fibres and impair inherent flame retardancy (IFR).
Avoid extreme heat when ironing.
Do not iron above 150°C, as excessive heat may distort the fabric surface.

‍Polyester Lycra fabrics require a little extra care to help maintain their stretch, shape and performance.

After swimming
Rinse the fabric in fresh, cold water immediately after exposure to pool or ocean water.

Washing
Machine wash inside out on a cold, delicate cycle at a maximum of 30°C.
Place the fabric inside a mesh laundry bag for additional protection.
Drip dry in the shade.
Do not tumble dry or leave the fabric stored wet in gym bags.

Important care notes
Avoid bleach and chlorine, which can damage elastane and Lycra fibres and lead to snapping or loss of fit.
Do not use fabric softeners, as they can interfere with moisture-wicking performance.
Do not dry clean, as dry-cleaning processes can damage the fabric’s elasticity.
Avoid contact with rough concrete, pool edges and other abrasive surfaces to help prevent pilling.

‍Acrylic Backed fabrics have a protective finish designed to enhance the fabric’s performance.
The sooner you treat a spill, the better your results will be.

For spills and stains
Wipe the surface gently with a sponge using lukewarm water and a mild, pH-neutral liquid soap.
After cleaning, wipe thoroughly with clean water to remove any detergent residue.
Soap buildup can reduce the fabric’s repellency performance.
If ironing is necessary, use a low heat or synthetic setting on the reverse side only.
