That’s not to say we don’t love cotton too, however it is often misunderstood as to which fabric is actually friendlier to the environment.
Many believe that cotton is an environmentally friendly and sustainable product due to it being a natural resource, however for the most part, it is due to this reason that cotton is actually not so environmentally friendly nor sustainable.
The argument isn’t one sided though – Polyester also has some unsustainable characteristics so both sides need to be taken into account when deciding which fabrics you want to use, and for what purpose.
